Dr. Gorgens operates a boutique forensic neuropsychological evaluation practice specializing in case consultation and assessment for high stakes cases. She has worked on capital cases, high profile homicide cases, and reverse transfer cases for juveniles charged with homicide who may be sentenced into the adult correctional system.

Dr. Gorgens works in the civil and criminal arena to educate parties about brain injury. In the criminal arena, she has worked with prosecutors and defense attorneys to review case history and identify probable vs. unlikely injury outcomes.

Dr. Gorgens’ 25+ years of training, clinical experience, published research, and forensic work have allowed her to be credentialed by the courts as an expert in neuropsychology, rehabilitation psychology, trauma, and adult and juvenile brain injuries and recovery. She also often testifies to these and other issues in legislative hearings.
